Carlyle announced the appointment of Brad McCarthy as new head of Asia Pacific for its global wealth management division.
Singapore-based McCarthy is tasked with expanding the firm's wealth platform across the APAC region, focusing on enhancing and widening access for high-net-worth investors to Carlyle's global suite of private market products and solutions. He will also be responsible for overseeing Carlyle’s institutional wealth management channel in Australia and New Zealand.
McCarthy has nearly three decades of investment and wealth management experience, moving from Citi Global Wealth Management, where he headed alternative investment sales in APAC for nearly three years. Before that, he was a director in alternatives at Citi Private Bank, and his career also includes stints with Legg Mason’s Permal hedge fund platform, later EnTrust Permal, as well as ABN Amro, and BT Investment Management.
