Apollo Global Management announced on November 17 the opening of an office in Seoul, South Korea.

With the opening of the new office, the alternative asset manager also appointed Jay Hyun Lee as head of Korea. Lee previously worked at Samsung Securities and served as head of Korea in private equity and growth equity at Goldman Sachs.

As previously reported by Dakota earlier in November, Apollo is said to be planning a significant expansion of its advisor base in the Asia-Pacific region that would double its private wealth headcount in the region.
