Middle-market private equity investor J.F. Lehman & Company (JFLCO) made three appointments to its operating executive board to supplement the firm’s strategy, adding expertise in its target aerospace, defense, maritime, government and environmental sectors.
Admiral Michael Gilday is a career US Navy officer who most recently served as the 32nd Chief of Naval Operations and member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff before his retirement in October 2023. Kenneth J. Braithwaite previously served as 77th Secretary of the Navy, retiring as a rear admiral, and from 2017 to 2020 was also US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway. Mark Russell joins with extensive tech experience related to aerospace and defense, having formerly served as CTO for RTX.
The trio of additions into the firm’s operating executive board will “help guide strategy and support portfolio companies,” said JFLCO Partner Alex Harman, as the firm increases “emphasis on technology-driven companies with high growth potential” in its primary sectors.
