VCFA Raises $122.5M for Venture Secondaries Fund VII, Makes Two Promotions

VCFA Group has announced the final close of its VCFA Venture Partners VII with $122.5M in pooled capital commitments.

The seventh iteration of the firm’s flagship fund series will target secondary investments in mature companies within venture capital and growth equity as demand for liquidity solutions remains high, according to VCFA Managing Member David Tom, saying that there are “more sellers looking for tailored, flexible capital solutions below $50M in size.” Fund VII’s close brings VCFA $229.7M in total capital raised across its secondary strategies.

Additionally, the New York-based private equity firm disclosed that two members of its investment team are moving up following the fundraiser: Andy Coke has been promoted to vice president from senior associate, while Colin Moffet moves to associate from analyst. Coke and Moffet joined VCFA in 2019 and 2021, respectively.

Over its history, VCFA Group said it has executed 11 fundraisers representing $1B in generated investment returns to its LPs.
