B Capital Names GP to Lead Growth Equity Tech Investments

B Capital announced the appointment of Timur Akazhanov as a general partner, focusing on investments in technology and tech-enabled services companies.

Akazhanov will be based in New York City and partner with Deputy CIO Sami Ahmad to identify acquisition and significant minority stake opportunities. Before joining B Capital, Akazhanov served as a managing director at H.I.G. Capital and Blackstone, and has more than 15 years of industry experience.
