Axonic Capital announced that James “JJ” Jordan has joined the investment manager as a partner, where he will focus on the firm’s commercial real estate investment platform.
Jordan previously served as the head of commercial real estate at Taconic Capital Advisors where he oversaw the growth of its CRE platform. In his new role, he will be working closely with Jonathan Salter and Erik Nygaard, who head up Axonic’s liquid and illiquid commercial real estate businesses.
Jordan will continue to advise on Taconic’s existing CRE investments, while Taconic will invest in Axonic's opportunistic CRE business. In addition, other senior members of Taconic’s real estate team are expected to join Jordan at Axonic at a later date.
The combined teams of Axonic and Taconic have invested over $17B in commercial real estate transactions, including approximately $1B invested across 24 joint ventures.
