The Southeast region led March advisor transitions with 29 moves totaling about $10.7B in disclosed client assets. The Northeast followed with 21 moves totaling approximately $4.3B; followed by the Midwest – 10 moves totaling around $3.3B; the West – 12 moves totaling about $3.0B; and the Southwest – 8 moves totaling $1.1B.

Raymond James emerged as March’s most active recruiter by volume across its channels, while also ranking among the leaders by assets, adding teams representing over $3.3B in disclosed client assets. Its recruiting activity spanned both employee and independent channels, including multiple mid-sized teams contributing to steady aggregate growth.

NewEdge Advisors led the month by total recruited assets, headlined by the addition of Birmingham, AL-based Stonegate Investment Group, a team overseeing approximately $6B in client assets, the largest single transition in March. Wells Fargo Advisors was also among the top recruiters, adding teams totaling about $2.9B, while Janney Montgomery Scott recruited approximately $2.2B. Another major recruiter was Osaic, which added teams representing roughly $1.2B during the month.

Outside of advisor moves, March’s notable people news included several CEO appointments across the industry, including Susie Cranston as CEO of Cresset, Peter Moores as CEO of Raymond James Ltd. (Canada), and Julie Gallagher as president and CEO of Richardson Wealth, along with Nancy Curtin being named interim CEO of AlTi Global and Brent Wouters as CEO of Thompson Family Office.

The month also saw a number of CIO and investment leadership appointments, including John Bullman at Balefire Wealth, Will Hobbs at Brooks Macdonald, and Leanne Taylor at Mason Stevens, as well as Nick Torrence joining Morgan Stanley in an OCIO portfolio management role.
