OCERS Commits $670M to Alts

The Orange County Employees’ Retirement System approved twelve recent commitments to alternatives totaling $670 million.

In venture capital, $40 million each was committed to General Catalyst Funds XII - Creation, Group XII - Ignition, Fund XII - Endurance, and Fund XII - Health Insurance. In addition, $50 million was committed to Spark Capital VIII. 

In private equity, $60 million was allocated to Clearlake Capital Partners VIII, $50 million to Spark Capital Growth Fund V, $50 million to TPG Healthcare Partners II, and $50 million to Vega Co-Invest.

Within the real estate sleeve, $75 million was invested in Cerberus Institutional Real Estate Partners VI. 

Additionally, in real assets, $75 million was allocated to Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund V.

In private credit, $100 million was invested in HPS Specialty Loan Fund VI.

As of December 31, 2023, OCERS was valued at approximately $22 billion.
