Amsterdam-based Move Energy announced that Move Energy Fund I has received €35M in capital commitments from the European Investment Fund and plans to hold its final close by the end of Q1 2025 with a €150M hard cap.
Fund I specializes in providing Series A funding for European hardware and software ventures that focus on energy transition. The fund aims to diminish the carbon usage of the transport and power sectors.
Combining EIF’s contribution and prior commitments, the fund has received commitments from 30 investors totaling over €100M and has invested in five companies. The EIF investment follows on a €10M commitment in September from Dutch national financing and development platform Invest-NL.
