Mayfair Equity Partners Closes Third Growth Fund at £500M

Mayfair Equity Partners said it secured £500M (~$652.8M) in capital commitments at the final close of its third growth fund, Mayfair Fund III.

The fund generated support from new and existing institutional LPs. According to a February 5 news release, 60% of the commitments it received came from North America, with the remainder from investors in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Mayfair Equity said the latest fundraising marked the highest number of institutional investors in its 10-year history.

The fund's predecessor, Mayfair Fund II, closed in 2019 at its £650M (~$813.5M) hard cap, marking an oversubscription against a £600M (~$750.9M) target.

Mayfair Equity invests in startups focused on the technology and consumer sectors primarily in the UK. Since 2015, the digital investor has raised more than £2B (~$2.50B) in capital and completed 27 investments, including in OVO Energy, LoopMe and TrustedHousesitters.
