Mariner announced that it has completed the acquisition of three financial advisory firms with a collective $1.1B in assets under advisement, further bolstering its nationwide presence and pushing it closer to its goal of having 5,000 advisors by 2027.
In a statement, Mariner said that it has acquired Cincinnati’s Cassady Schiller Wealth, Englewood, CO-based Jenkins Wealth, and Triton Financial Group, headquartered in Marlborough, MA.
Cassady Schiller Wealth is an eight-member team that provides wealth management advisory services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth business owners, medical professionals, and family businesses. According to its June 10, 2024, Form ADV filing, Cassady Schiller managed $517M in regulatory assets under management.
Jenkins Wealth was founded in 2002 by Brad Jenkins, providing investment strategies to individual and institutional investors. The firm reported regulatory AUM of $313M as of its April 1, 2024, Form ADV filing.
Lastly, Triton Financial was founded in 1995 by Bob Gustafson, offering the “three-pronged approach” of financial planning, investment management, and risk management. As of its November 13 Form ADV filing, Triton reported $237M in regulatory assets under management.
All three firms will apply the Mariner brand after their operational closes in the first quarter of 2025 and will operate from their existing, respective offices. The acquisition further supports Mariner’s nationwide growth strategy and brings its total office count to 140. It follows closely on the firm’s transformational purchase of Cardinal Investment Advisors, as reported by Dakota on January 10.
Houlihan Lokey acted as financial advisor to Cassady Schiller, Dynasty Investment Bank served as financial advisor to Jenkins Wealth, and Pederson&Co served as financial advisor to Triton Financial Group.
