Chicago-based global investment banking advisory firm Lincoln International said it has acquired TCG Corporate Finance, a leading tech and digital investment banking advisor that focuses on European private equity.
The acquisition will double Lincoln International’s European technology investment bankers advising private equity firms in Europe to 60 and grows the firm’s global technology group to more than 150. TCG Corporate Finance operates out of offices in Berlin, London, Munich, and Stockholm.
Lincoln also said the addition of TCG adds leadership and specialization in software and IT services, with the firm aiming to tap into these growing areas of investment as businesses look to harness technology to optimize performance and modernize their operations.
With the deal, Scott Twibel, managing director of Lincoln’s US technology group has been appointed as co-head of the global technology group, alongside Harald Mahrle, who was a managing director and co-founder of TCG.
