CION, GCM Grosvenor Partner to Launch $300M Infrastructure Fund

Tags: Real Assets

CION Investments and GCM Grosvenor announced the launch of CION Grosvenor Infrastructure Fund, created with an interval fund structure that will allow individual investors access, through their advisors, to GCMG’s institutional private infrastructure platform.

The fund, which has been declared effective by the SEC, is expected to launch with $300M in seed capital from a major institutional investor. The fund anticipates a merger with a seasoned portfolio managing $220M in client assets across traditional and newer infrastructure sectors before commencing distribution. An additional cash commitment of approximately $80M is expected to supplement this seed portfolio.

CION and GCMG said the fund comes in response to persistent, high demand for investment capital in infrastructure, creating a long-term environment for opportunities within a sector that offers investors opportunities for capital appreciation and income, while providing transparent cash flows, high barriers to entry, inflation protection, and low correlation to other assets.
