NYSIF Commences Search for Private Market Consultant

The New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) has issued an RFP seeking a private market consultant able to cover all of its private credit, private equity, private real assets, and absolute return portfolios.

The pension said it will exclusively accept responses providing services for all four asset classes, which represent 4% to 6% in combined allocation, but reserves the right to award a contract to a secondary firm that will specialize in one of the asset classes. Proposals to the RFP are due March 17, at 2pm Eastern Time.

NYSIF disclosed that its private markets allocations are currently equally divided across the four mandates, and that it plans to make 15 new partnerships annually for the next five years. To date, the pension manages an overall portfolio of approximately $20B, per Dakota data.
