Dakota hosted its Q3 2026 Product Roadmap Webinar to walk through platform updates, new data sets, and product launches heading into the fall.
Founder and CEO Gui Costin opened with a look at how far the data has come. Dakota has 10x'd its fundraiser-focused data over the past two years and now offers a global, all-channel allocator database at a depth no one else in the market matches. Coverage spans RIAs, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, public pension funds, foundations and endowments, insurance company general accounts, 350,000+ financial advisors, and 23,000+ financial advisor teams across every major jurisdiction, including Singapore, the UK, Latin America, the Nordics, the US, Canada, and Mexico.
That now includes 13F data, Form D coverage across new companies, first close, and final close, Form ADV detail, 60,000+ public pension fund holdings, and 30,000+ manager decks. On the investment firm side, Dakota tracks 23,000+ firms, 60,000+ funds, and performance information on 18,750+ funds, supported by new benchmarking technology. The database also holds 30,000+ private company transactions and grows by roughly 2,000 per month.

AI Capabilities, Connectors, and MCP
Dakota's MCP-based connectors now include a live Copilot beta alongside Claude and ChatGPT, and 35% of customers are already using them. Feedback has been strongest from users who are on the road or without constant platform access, and Dakota is in active conversations with other vertical AI tools for the investment industry, including Metal AI, Hebbia, and Blue Flame.

International Data Expansion: UK Charities
A new UK charities data set is in development, prompted by client feedback that an existing provider had gone stale after being acquired. Roughly 2,000 charities have been identified so far, along with thousands of associated trustees and accurate contact information, with some records already visible under Foundations in London inside Dakota Marketplace.

Conference Speaker Data
Customers told us that speaker lineups matter more than conference topic alone, so Dakota built a conference speakers data set. More than 2,000 speakers are now collected and filterable within the Conferences tab, which supports workflows like identifying exactly which RIA CIOs are speaking at conferences in a given city.

Family Office Data Milestone

Career History and Company Alumni Network
Career history is now live on contact records, showing where a contact previously worked. That unlocks an alumni network view, so you can see everyone who worked at a given firm, Cambridge Associates for example, during a specific date range, filterable by past and current role and by start and end dates.

Dakota Private Markets (New Standalone Product)
Presented by Alex deMarco of Dakota's research team, Dakota Private Markets is a new standalone product built for the allocator audience, designed to cut the time spent gathering fund research from disparate sources. It covers fund performance across 18,000+ funds and all major asset classes with IRR, TVPI, and DPI metrics, manager and sponsor intelligence spanning investment approach, team, portfolio companies, deal activity, consultant reviews, and investment presentations, plus custom benchmarking with peer groups built by strategy, vintage, geography, and fund size and standardized asset class benchmarks updated quarterly.

13F Data Enhancements
Dakota's 13F build-out now includes advanced, firm-level aggregated fields that go well beyond individual fund flows. New capabilities include total AUM in ETFs, percentage of AUM in ETFs, quarter-over-quarter changes in exposure, and the ability to identify which firms are increasing, decreasing, or fully exiting a position. Customer success managers are trained on the new fields and available to walk through use cases.

Dakota Marketplace for Salesforce (v4.0)
Dominique Mortelli presented the latest version of the Salesforce AppExchange-approved integration. Dakota Accounts and Dakota Contacts are now separate tabs, so users can save, create, and export custom list views. Contacts can be created or linked directly from the account record page, and accounts and contacts can now be linked simultaneously in a single step, replacing the previous two-step process.

News, Newsletters, and Data API
Dakota's news database has grown to 25,000+ proprietary stories, and the AI connectors let clients pair their preferred LLM with that database for allocator and manager research. A news API is now available to feed Dakota's reporting directly into internal systems, and the newsletter portfolio has expanded with more targeted titles covering family office investments, GP stakes, and private fund intelligence for allocators, with more planned in the coming months.
