Minneapolis-based independent wealth management firm Wealth Enhancement Group (WEG) has acquired a hybrid RIA with three offices across South Carolina and Georgia.
In an October 2 press release, WEG said it has acquired FinTrust Capital Advisors, which handles over $2.39B in combined client assets through three teams: the FTCA team in Greenville, SC, the Kibler-Blackburn team in Anderson, SC, and the Classic City team in Athens, GA. Led by Chief Investment Officer Allen Gillespie, the group is composed of 14 advisors and 13 client-service staff.
The FinTrust acquisition brings WEG’s total client, advisory, trust, and brokerage assets to over $94.7B, and adds to the firm’s existing network of 177 offices across 27 states, the company said.
