W&D Investment Partners Launches $500M Real Estate Debt Fund

Walker & Dunlop unit W&D Investment Partners has launched a new debt fund targeting $500M, for which it has so far raised $201M.

In a filing with the SEC, the Denver-based commercial real estate investor said it first began taking investments on November 27 for its W&D Debt Fund and has secured commitments from 118 investors to date. The minimum investment size is $250K, and BHA Select Network is assisting W&D with the sales and marketing of the fund. 

According to its web site, W&D employs debt and equity strategies utilizing vehicles structured to address financial, operational, and tax requirements of its investors. The firm reports having made $15.6B in commercial real estate investments across over 650 properties.
