The Wayne County Employees Retirement System approved a motion to reappoint Channing Capital Management as manager of its small-cap value portfolio valued at approximately $10M.
In recently published minutes from its November 14 board meeting, the pension adopted the resolution following the recommendation of investment consultant Titan Wealth Advisors, which also assisted in the manager selection process. The motion was carried by unanimous vote, pending a final review by the pension’s legal counsel.
The manager move is the pension’s latest after it also retained Marathon Asset Management to fulfill a $20M mandate for its CMBS Bonds Portfolio, as Dakota earlier reported on August 26. Overall, the pension holds total plan assets of approximately $1.3B per the latest Dakota data.
