The Washington State Investment Board (WSIB) made an investment of up to $600M in KKR’s fourteenth North America Fund, according to the pension’s most recently released investment advisory.
North America Fund XIV will seek to make 25 to 30 control investments in large companies based in North America. The fund is WSIB’s latest deal with existing manager KKR since allocating $150M to the KKR Global Impact Fund II last year. The pension said it has made 27 previous transactions with KKR totalling $11.9B in investments since 1983.
WSIB currently oversees approximately $202.8B in plan assets, per the latest Dakota data.
