Vontobel completed its acquisition of IHAG PrivatBank's client book of approximately CHF 3B (~$3.3B) in client assets, supporting its strategy of expanding in its focus markets.
The Swiss investment management firm said the new clients have already been incorporated into its private clients segment. The transaction is expected to expand Vontobel's operations in the DACH region, which comprises Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It also anticipates the acquisition to be accretive to its net profit from the first day of completion.
