UBS Veterans Jump to Elevation Point

Elevation Point, a registered investment advisor investment, was launched earlier this year by Jim Dickson, the former CEO of Sanctuary Wealth. The firm has recently recruited two experienced executives from UBS, Bradford Smithy and Robert Tamarkin, as founding partners.

Smithy, a 30-year industry veteran, had been with UBS for over 15 years in various senior roles, including divisional director, managing more than 1,900 financial advisors with nearly $500 billion in assets under management. Before UBS, Smithy spent over 15 years at Merrill Lynch, serving as a financial advisor, district sales manager, and complex director. Tamarkin, who served as Southeast market director at UBS, oversaw its wealth management offices in Atlanta and across Georgia. Like Smithy, Tamarkin also worked as a Merrill financial advisor for more than a decade. Both Smithy and Tamarkin will serve on Elevation’s executive committee, focusing on developing partnerships and steering the firm’s growth.

Elevation was formed in June by Dickson, alongside Mark Penske, founder and chairman of United Atlantic Capital, a New York-based financial services holding company. When launched, Elevation also acquired Mount Yale Capital Group, an outsourced chief investment officer firm, adding $3.4 billion in assets under management. The addition of Smithy and Tamarkin aims to bolster Elevation's leadership team and drive the firm's expansion. The firm's focus is on leveraging the expertise of its leadership to build strategic partnerships and foster growth in the investment advisory sector.
