UBS Makes $1.9B Miami Double Swoop

UBS has added nearly $1.9B in client assets to its Miami operations with the addition of AMD Wealth Partners to its private wealth management division and a new advisor joining its VPHN Wealth Partners team.

AMD is composed of advisors Ary Velasco, Michael von Borsig, and David Cardenas, and will join UBS Miami Private Wealth Management, operating out of downtown Miami and reporting to Brad Rosenberg. The trio bring more than 50 years of combined experience and join from Citi Private Bank, where they managed $1.4B in client assets. 

UBS separately said it recruited Jose Garcia from Wells Fargo, where he was a senior investment manager overseeing over $500M in client assets. Garcia will join VPHN, which is led by a pair of advisors who joined from Wells Fargo Private Bank in 2021 and managed $1.8B in client assets. Garcia brings more than a decade of experience, having also worked at BNY Mellon and Sharff, Wittmer, Kurtz, Jackson & Diaz PA.
