The Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) has announced the appointment of Caasi Lamb as the new deputy director per a recent news release.
Lamb will replace Andrew Roth who recently left after five years with the TRS to lead the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Association as CEO. The start date for the position is July 8.
The appointment marks the return of Lamb to the retirement system after serving as Chief Strategy & Operations Officer at Advanced Electronic Designs in Bozeman, Montana. Lamb previously spent nine years with Texas TRS before leaving in early 2023.
As of December 31, 2023, the pension fund had a market value of $192.5 billion.
