FUNDRAISING NEWS | November 14, 2024
Zurich-based, pre-seed emerging manager and venture capital firm Founderful announced the close of its oversubscribed $140M Fund II, a nearly 60% increase over its predecessor fund.
The firm, which focuses investment on Swiss technology startups, said its second fund is already backing 15 companies. Fund I, which closed fundraising at $90M, has been fully deployed across 40 startups.
Founderful said those investments have been subsequently backed by more than $450M in follow-on funding from international venture firms, including manufacturing analytics startup Ethon AI, which raised an additional $16.5M from Index Ventures, and Grape Insurance, which received an additional $10M investment from Spark.
Founderful was established in 2019 by GetYourGuide co-founder Pascal Mathis, former Creathor Ventures executive Alex Stockl, and EAT.ch co-founder Lukas Weder, with the vision of turning Swiss startups into global market leaders.
