Russell, iCapital Launch Private Infrastructure Fund for Canadian HNW Investors

Russell Investments and iCapital’s Canadian units have partnered to provide eligible accredited Canadian investors access to an open-ended, global unlisted infrastructure fund.

The unlisted underlying fund will be accessible to HNW Canadian investors through Russell Investments iCapital Global Unlisted Infrastructure Fund LP, managed by iCapital. In this arrangement, the access fund will invest 85% to 90% in the underlying fund, with the remaining 10% to 15% in liquid investments to satisfy redemption obligations.

The Luxembourg-domiciled underlying fund invests in infrastructure projects that address growing social and economic needs. It currently allocates capital across six investment managers in targeted regions and sectors. As new funds are raised, Russell Investments said it will continue to expand its existing investments and identify new co-investment opportunities.
