Pictet Wealth Management is reportedly looking to open an Asia desk in Zurich in early 2025, according to finews.asia, citing an anonymous spokesperson for the bank.
The upcoming Asia desk is expected to serve as a “booking center” for Asian clients in Switzerland. The team will be headed by Xiaodan Predoehl, who joins from Lombard Odier Group where she served as senior banker in its Asian wealth management unit. Relationship managers Olive Ma, who will be relocating from Pictet’s Hong Kong office to the Swiss banking capital, and Michael R. Strasser will also join the desk, with an assistant and investment specialist yet to be added.
Pictet equity partner and Asia CEO Victor Aerni said the installment of a new Asia desk team will put the bank in “a position to successfully tackle this market potential in the long term.” Globally, Pictet has 30 locations in financial centers, per the private bank’s website.
