Mariner Wealth Advisors is reportedly gearing up for a major recruitment effort to add 250 senior wealth advisors, Wealth Management reported February 10.

In an email to the publication, Mariner CEO Marty Bicknell said that his firm is focusing on recruiting experienced advisors, especially in the senior advisory roles requiring more than 10 years of industry experience. According to a job posting on its website, Mariner is seeking candidates who are experienced financial planners able to lead teams in developing “holistic wealth plans”.

Mariner reportedly has a total of 1,500 advisors following Bicknell’s aggressive recruitment strategy and aims to have 5,000 advisors by 2027. The firm has also completed 36 acquisitions since 2021 after receiving investments from Neuberger Bergman and Leonard Green & Partners, including four acquisitions in 2025, most notably $292B AUA Cardinal Point to its Mariner Institutional business.
