Report: Energy Capital Partners Targets $5B for Sixth Flagship Fund

Summit, NJ-based energy transition investor Energy Capital Partners (ECP) is reportedly setting up the sixth vintage of its flagship equity fund series, Infrastructure Investor reported December 10, citing anonymous sources.

ECP VI will target $5B in capital commitments, eyeing a first close in April next year, these sources told the publication. The fund will build on investments by predecessor Fund V, which surpassed its target by 10% with $6.7B in raised capital on final close in May. ECP invests primarily in real assets related to energy, particularly power generation and storage, renewable energy projects, and environmental infrastructure.

ECP said it has captured approximately $19B across its flagship funds, with $2.8B collected through its energy transition continuation funds.
