Report: Edward Jones Scores $97M Veteran Advisor from Wells Fargo

A financial advisor with nearly four decades of experience has left Wells Fargo to join Edward Jones, as reported by Financial Advisor IQ on October 16.

Bill I. Burgess joins Edward Jones in Beckley, WV, after a lengthy tenure at Wells Fargo, where he reportedly managed $97M in client assets. Burgess began his career with First Union Capital Markets in 1985, staying on as it became part of Wachovia in 2001 and later Wells Fargo in 2008, per his BrokerCheck.

Burgess is Edward Jones' latest recruitment from Wells Fargo after Chad Hansen, also a veteran advisor with $107M in managed client assets, returned to the firm, as reported by Dakota on October 11.
