Report: Apollon Recruits Former Journey, Dynasty Exec As CFO

Mount Pleasant, SC-based RIA Apollon Wealth Management has appointed Damian Lo Basso as CFO and a member of the firm’s executive leadership team, according to an October 24 report from CityWire.

Lo Basso joins from Journey Strategic Wealth, where he most recently served as CFO and managing director. Prior to that, he held positions as vice president at Coventure and Dynasty Financial Partners, with previous advisory-related roles at Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank. Lo Basso founded Compass CFO Solutions, a provider of outsourced CFOs to wealth management firms, where he was able to work with Apollon when the RIA was first launched in 2018.

In his new role, Lo Basso will oversee the company’s M&A, financial planning and analysis, internal budgeting and reporting activities, and will report directly to Apollon CEO Michael Dolberg.
