RE Investor Kairos Files for Eleventh Value Strategy Fund

Kairos Investment Management is planning to launch a new fund under its real estate value strategy, according to a January 27 filing with the SEC.

The minimum investment for Kairos Real Estate Value Fund IX was set at $1M, and Kairos said it expects to be in the market fundraising for more than a year. Under its value strategy, the minority-owned and entrepreneurial real estate investor has a target range for funds of $100M to $300M, with the hard cap set at $500M. 

Funds under the strategy invest in diversified real estate but primarily in multifamily assets across the US, with emphasis on the secondary and high-growth markets. Its funds typically allocate $5M to $30M per investment. The Irvine, CA-based investor also operates impact and credit strategies.
