RayJay Adds $250M FAs from Citigroup, Morgan Stanley

Raymond James announced recruiting advisors from Citigroup and Morgan Stanley with approximately $250M in combined managed assets, per recently published press releases.

Former Morgan Stanley advisor Matt Bennett joins the employee advisor channel with approximately $120M in managed client assets. Bennett brings over 25 years of wealth management experience, beginning at Merrill Lynch in May 1998. He is accompanied by senior registered client service associate Danielle Rich and will report to the Wilmington, NC, branch under its manager, David Thomas. 

Miguel Velázquez joins Raymond James from Citigroup, where he oversaw $130M in client assets. Velazquez has over 18 years of experience in the industry, specializing in handling portfolios of business owners, corporate executives, high-net-worth, and ultra-high-net-worth clients. He is accompanied by registered client service associate Laura Carreras and will operate out of Raymond James’ office in The Woodlands, TX, under branch manager Michael Mulloy.

According to its website, Raymond James services $1.4T in client assets with around 8,800 financial advisors as of June 30.
