RayJay Adds $1.3B TX Advisor from Merrill Lynch

Raymond James has lured another advisor from Merrill Lynch, this one based out of Fort Worth, TX, and managing over $1.3B in serviced client assets.

In an October 24 press release, the company said Melinda Johnston will join as managing director and senior vice president, leading her independent practice M2J Wealth Management Group. She will be joined by practice manager Kristin Stanley, investment portfolio associate Nick Olivarri, and senior client service associate Judy Frank. Johnston brings nearly 40 years of industry experience, most recently from Merrill Lynch, with a prior 21-year tenure at UBS from 1995 to 2016.

The M2J group will operate as part of Raymond James’ branch in Fort Worth, TX, reporting under branch managers Cooper Mickle and Christopher Beavers. Their addition is Raymond James’ latest recruitment from Merrill Lynch, following closely on the recruitment of a New York-based team managing over $1B in client assets, as reported by Dakota on October 23.
