UAE-based early-stage VC Raiven Capital announced the launch of a new fund geared toward investing in emerging technologies such as AI and the Internet of Things (IoT) and targeting a total capital raise of $125M.
The Dubai International Finance Centre-based fund, which in November 2023 announced a similar $125M fund focused on AI and IoT in finance, energy, health, the environment, and food sectors, said the latest fund will focus on emerging technology, particularly in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region.
Raiven said the fund operates on a 10-year life cycle split between an investment phase and a harvest phase expected to generate a 40% internal rate of return. Across its funds, Raiven said that to date it has raised $1B in investments with a 66% IRR.
