Partners Group has acquired Swiss real estate investment platform Empira Group, which has a gross development value portfolio of €14B in European and US residential property, in a deal expected to close in the first half of 2025.
Partners said the deal will enhance its position as a global real estate investor and support its growth plans “as the asset class enters a new paradigm for investing.” The global private markets firm is aiming to capitalize on emerging changes in the sector by investing in specialized real estate fund managers and operators focused on “high-conviction sectors” like residential and logistics.
Empira Group’s investment strategy complements Partners Group's focus on “new living” and decarbonization and sustainability, particularly the growing demand for high-quality, sustainable rental housing, the company said.
