Ohio STRS Appoints Interim Exec Director, Continues Nationwide Search

The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio has announced the selection of Aaron F. Hood as interim executive director of the retirement board, effective immediately, while it continues its search for a candidate to permanently fill the position.

Hood most recently served as executive VP and CFO for Summit Carbon Solutions from 2021 to 2023, with previous experience at Fortress Value Acquisition Corp. I & II, Perella Weinberg Partners, and Morgan Stanley. He currently serves as a finance service fellow in the Department of Social Sciences of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and is a US Army veteran.

The Ohio pension said that national search firm Korn Ferry is assisting the board in the search process for a permanent executive director.
