Mountaingate Closes Third Flagship Fund at $570M

Denver-based private equity firm Mountaingate Capital hit its hard cap with $570M in captured capital on the final close of its third-generation flagship fund.

Mountaingate Capital Fund III was reportedly oversubscribed by both new and existing investors, closing after less than three months in the market. The fund will build on Mountaingate’s flagship growth series through continued investments in businesses within the digital, data, tech-driven marketing and business services, value-add specialty manufacturing and distribution sectors.

Mountaingate said it now manages over $1.4B in total assets after Fund III’s close. Atlantic-Pacific Capital served as global placement agent and advisor, and Kirkland & Ellis as legal advisor for the firm during the fundraiser.
