Merrill Lynch has gained two separate teams in Texas and New York, adding nearly $1B in combined AUM, according to multiple media reports.
The wirehouse said it has added The Hill Country Group from Morgan Stanley, where the Austin, TX-based team managed $450M in assets. Led by advisors Dustin Elliot and Andrew Bushong, the five-person group will report to Merrill Lynch Wealth Management market executive Daniel Frugé.
Private wealth manager Michael Puleio also joins the Merrill Private Wealth unit from JP Morgan Private Bank, where he oversaw $500M in client assets. Puleio is accompanied by fellow wealth manager Laura Bokser and will operate out of Merrill’s One Bryant Park office in New York. The duo will report to Nathan Marsden, regional managing director of the northeast division.
