Cleveland-based wealth manager MAI Capital Management has acquired independent RIA Halpern Financial, adding approximately $1.2B to MAI’s gross AUM, according to an October 7 press release.
Boasting an 11-person team, Halpern Financial was founded by Ted Halpern and co-led by fellow managing directors Kirsty Peev, Melissa Sotudeh, and Daniel Trumbower. The group is based primarily in Ashburn, VA, with offices in Rockville, MD, and Naples, FL.
Halpern is MAI’s eighth acquisition of 2024 and its 40th since 2018. It follows closely on the firm’s purchase of $238M Bolan Capital, as reported by Dakota on October 2.
