Independent wealth manager Cerity Partners is merging with Indianapolis-based SBC Wealth Management, according to an October 8 press release.
The merger will add $1B in managed assets to Cerity Partners and expand its footprint in the Midwest. SBC Wealth was founded by former Chairman and CEO Scott Holley and includes a team of seven wealth advisors and seven associates which will now operate under the Cerity Partners name.
MarshBerry served as the exclusive financial advisor to SBC, and Bose McKinney & Evans provided legal counsel. The addition of SBC Wealth follows closely on Cerity’s merger with $1.4B Janiczek Wealth Management in Denver, as reported by Dakota on October 3.
