The Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System (LAFP) has invested $30M in an OceanSound Partners lower-middle-market buyout fund, according to recently published materials for its upcoming October 17 meeting.
The pension said its board unanimously approved the commitment to OceanSound Partners Fund II on August 15 and closed the investment on September 27. The allocation follows closely on $65M in total commitments awarded to middle-market buyout fund Searchlight Capital IV and early stage venture capital fund Fika Ventures IV, as reported by Dakota on September 25.
Per LAFP’s September report, its private equity program comprises 16.5% of the portfolio against a 15% target.
