The Kentucky Teachers Retirement System is allocating $50M to Galliard Capital Management’s Core Fixed Income Fund, according to recently released materials from its December 16, 2024, board meeting.
The pension disclosed that its investment committee approved the allocation from its health insurance trust on November 21, 2024, under the fixed income allocation. As of September 30 of last year, the pension had allocated 13.3%, or $3.5B, to the asset class, against a policy target of 15%.
Kentucky Teachers said it manages a total portfolio of approximately $26.9B in pension assets, as of September 2024.
