Iliad Partners has raised $50M at the first close of its newly launched Iliad Partners Tech Ventures Fund I.
The fund will target early-stage business-to-business software startups in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, particularly in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. It also earmarked 10% of its total capital to Europe, particularly Greece, to support startups looking to expand in MENA.
The UAE-based venture capital firm’s latest fund attracted capital from investors including Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth Public Investment Fund's subsidiary Jada Fund of Funds, the Olayan Family, Masarrah Investment Co., MLM Investments, the Constantakopoulos Family of Greece and other major family groups and family offices in the Gulf Cooperation Council and Europe.
