Paris-based Axeleo Capital said it has made a €125M first close on its newly launched Green Tech Industry Fund I, which intends to finance industrial startups “dedicated to the ecological transition.”
The fund has a target of €250M and plans to invest in 15 to 20 European companies across energy, chemicals, agriculture, and mobility industries, with lead investments of €3M to €10M. The firm said the fund has made its first first investment in Sweetch Energy, a company working on osmotic energy, a renewable and controllable energy source.
