The Cook County Annuity and Benefit Fund has issued an RFP seeking international equity managers for a $450M mandate.

The pension will consider active core strategies of up to $300M in size and active value strategies of up to $150M expected to outperform the MSCI ACWI ex-US Index over a five-year period. The deadline for proposals is January 3, 2025, while submissions for written questions will be entertained until December 13. Finalists will present to the investment committee in March of next year. Callan is assisting in the manager search.

Dakota reported on December 3 the conclusion of the Illinois pension’s selection process for its non-core real estate emerging manager search, allocating $20M each to 1 Seed Partners, Brasa Capital Management, and Caro Investors. Cook County had also issued an RFP for private credit managers for a $260M mandate, to which submissions were due November 1 as reported by Dakota in October. The pension is expected to finalize its selection on that search in the first quarter of next year.
