The Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) of Illinois has issued an RFP seeking one or more investment managers to handle a portion of its nearly $25B public equity portfolio.
The state pension will accept large-, mid-, small-, or all-cap strategies, holding a mixture of US and non-US stocks, which will be compared against the MSCI All Country World Investable Market Index. The pension said it is open to hiring one or more external managers, but may allocate funds to existing managers if no suitable candidate is identified in the search.
Responses to the RFP will be entertained until February 13. RVK is assisting the $70B Illinois pension in the search process.
