Citizens Recruits $700M South FL Team from RBC

Citizens Financial Group announced that unit Citizens Private Wealth has recruited a veteran Naples, FL-based advisor team that managed $700M in client assets at RBC Wealth Management, bolstering its footprints in the South Florida market.

The new team will be led by Dustin Smith and James Rubinton, who specialize in providing custom wealth management solutions for high-net-worth and ultra-hight-net-worth individuals, families and businesses. They join from RBC and both had previous stints at UBS, according to their BrokerCheck profiles. Smith was a branch director for RBC for nearly 10 years, and prior to that a wealth manager at UBS for nearly 20 years, while Rubinton served as a senior vice president for investments at RBC since 2016 and before that spent over 11 years at UBS, according to their LinkedIn profiles.

With Citizens Private Wealth, the team will provide wealth management solutions to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. The team is the newest addition to Citizens Private Wealth’s South Florida team following the recruitment of LS Wealth Partners in Boca Raton, FL, as reported on October 21, 2024 by Dakota.
