CapitaLand Investment announced the appointment of a new CEO and CIO for its headquarters in Australia as part of an effort to expand the Singapore-based firm’s presence in the market.
CLI appointed Angelo Scassera as CEO and Rahul Bharara as CIO, effective in the first half of 2025. Scassera and Bharara will be working directly with Managing Director Paul Toussaint and will be responsible for driving the growth of CLI Australia, including its real estate, private equity, and credit funds.
Before joining CLI Australia, Scassera was head of real estate private capital at Barrenjoey, while Bharara served as partner at Barrenjoey and CIO at Gurner Group. Scassera and Bharara were both former Credit Suisse executives, with Scassera serving as head of real estate for the Asia Pacific region while Bharara worked as managing director for real estate.
