Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management announced that former CIBC Wood Gundy veteran advisor Brian Lonsdale has joined its Ottawa, ON, office.
Lonsdale leads Lonsdale Financial Group and reportedly moves with $150M in assets under advisement. He has more than two decades of experience in wealth management, spent largely as a portfolio manager at CIBC Wood Gundy for 29 years.
According to Canaccord’s LinkedIn post, the recruitment of Lonsdale bolsters the firm’s momentum in the Canadian capital. He is the third advisor from CIBC Wood Gundy that moved to Canaccord after the firm opened its Ottawa office in 2024, according to a report from Wealth Professional.
