BRS Selects TerraCap, Mesirow from Private RE Search

The Boston Retirement System (BRS) said it hired managers TerraCap Partners and Mesirow Financial to handle a combined $50M in private real estate investments, following on from its real estate search reported on by Dakota in March.

The BRS said it committed $25M each to TerraCap Partners I and Mesirow Financial Real Estate Value Fund. The pension’s private real estate search was for a mandate of up to $75M, and it is unclear if it will make additional commitments related to that search.
